We are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to support and advise our Petfood & Feed business units and factories in Europe, to help us become an even safer place to work.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support and consultancy for our internationally active business units and subsidiaries in all aspects of occupational safety, health protection and accident prevention
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of SARIA- fire safety standards
  • Independent implementation of safety-related standardisation and optimisation projects at international group level
  • Carry out internal safety-related inspections of operating facilities, equipment and operational processes
  • Cause analysis of accidents as well as the effectiveness check of corrective and preventive measures
  • Support the internal engineering department in all aspects of occupational and plant safety within the scope of implementing technical projects in the sites
  • Contribute to the development, collection and evaluation of specific key performance indicators
  • Participate in international group safety meetings
  • Implement and further develop occupational health and safety management systems
  • Revision and creation of existing, new training and occupational safety programmes
  • To work closely with the Fire Safety department to ensure comprehensive safety-related support
     

Required profile:

  • Successfully completed studies as a fire safety engineer or related studies, alternatively further education as a technician/master with additional qualification as an expert for fire safety
  • Two years or more professional experience would be desirable
  • Additional knowledge in area fire safety, explosion protection and DIN ISO 45001 desirable
  • Familiar of the common MS office applications
  • Very good conceptual and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as a structured and independent way of working
  • Distinct social competence, confident behaviour and excellent communication skills
  • Confident command of the English language, written and spoken
  • Further foreign language skills (e.g. French, Spanish, Polish) is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally and possession of driving licence class B
